I am a Senior Systems Engineer at Qualcomm Research where I work on designing, simulating and testing of algorithms for Autonomous Vehicles.
I have a Ph.D. from Department of Computer Science and Engineering, The Ohio State University where I was co-advised by Dr. Prasun Sinha and Dr. Rajiv Ramnath. Previously, I got my Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institue of Technology Madras where I worked with Prof. K. Giridhar for my undergraduate thesis.
I am broadly interested in machine learning and computer vision techniques. I am specifically interested in behavior planning and prediction of autonomous vehicles, automatic sensor calibration and maintenance techniques, and autonomous vehicle simulators.
I have diverse research and software development background. Previously, I have designed algorithms and written software for automatic camera calibration techniques of traffic cameras running on a cloud framework (azure), for DashCams running on the edge nodes, Visual odometry and SLAM for smartglass frameworks, Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) & Vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) frameworks, RFID protocols, LTE-PHY and hosted IEEE conference websites. I am proficient in multiple programming languages (C/C++, Python, Java and Matlab) and different ML and CV libraries & frameworks. I have teaching experience over two years at The Ohio state. I have authored over 15 papers and have 3 patents. Two of my papers were awarded the Best Paper Awards (ACM BuildSys, IEEE INFOCOM Workshop) and received Best demo award (ACM BuildSys).
